About the Cwtch
The Cwtch is a fully insulated and waterproof alternative to a tent or caravan.
It is made from FSC certified timber, can be insulated with sheep’s wool (or the product of your choice) and is externally clad in Decra Oberon stainless steel tiles.
You may have come across similar products under different names but we doubt that any of them can touch us for durability, strength and longevity.
All Cwtches are made to order at our purpose-built workshop in Johnston, Pembrokeshire. Whilst most Cwtches will be used commercially they can also be used for spare accommodation at home, as a home office, hobby studio or play-house.
We currently offer two sizes of The Cwtch – a family size designed for 4 people and a double designed for 2 people. There are different add-on options available such as decking, electric hook-up, heating and lighting, as well as various base options to suit your site.
The User/Camper Benefits:
- No set up required, just unlock the door and you’re camping!
- Private and secure, with locking door options
- Fully insulated for winter and ‘shoulder season’ use
- Covered cooking/seating porch
- No more mucking around with wet tents in a gale – The Cwtch is comfortable, quiet, waterproof and warm, yet retains the character of tented camping
The Operator Benefits:
- Welsh businesses can benefit from a 40% LIF grant from the Welsh Assembly Government! More information at www.lifcymru.org.uk
- The same planning considerations as for caravans
- Excellent potential return from the initial investment
- This type of accommodation is already proving to be very popular nationwide and has been for years on the continent

- The Cwtch is fully portable (either with suitable lifting equipment, or it can be towed around on site)
- Aesthetically pleasing compared to caravans
- Much longer lifespan and far better value for money than yurts or bell tents
