This beautiful sunny weekend, foodies from Pembrokeshire and beyond were treated to an amazing array of different options to enjoy at Tenby’s Street food festival. A combination of the amazing weather and the delicious food on offer meant that the town was packed out.
Jane and Jill (Beth’s Mum and Auntie) made the most of the day and parked in Penally-at the far end of Tenby South beach-and walked along the beach to the festival, soaking up the sun. (This is definitely a handy hint to avoid circling the town to find a parking space!) It was a great opportunity to sample some of our local food suppliers such as X-ray cafe and Mamgu Welshcakes as well as those from further afield, and ideal for first-time visitors to the town to follow up a morning of exploring. Pakora Pod was a hit with us!
Tenby is just a half-hour drive from Cwtch camp and as a beach destination it has a lot to offer, especially considering it’s been awarded numerous Blue Flag awards for being one of the cleanest beaches in Wales. We recommend taking the ferry from there to Caldey island , wandering Tenby’s cobbled streets, or simply sitting in a cafe and taking in the view. Beach Box- a converted cargo container- can be found throughout the year so if you missed the festival you can still drop by for lunch with a view!
